The
trees are lowering their skirts.
The
ground is carpeted with their loss.
Don't
the trees despair over their failure to cling?
They
are doomed to fail. To fall.
They
are unable to keep their prize. Their very beauty.
And
aren't I the same?
Aren't
I doomed to fall?
Romans
3:23 says it: “For all have sinned and fall short.”
And
should I despair? Be filled with doubt?
When
my life is littered with the loss?
It
is God's plan that the leaves tumble.
It
is His plan that I descend.
Not
into despair and doubt.
But
into His arms.
Life
only comes in the falling. The failing.
Romans
6:7 “But anyone who has died has been freed from sin.”
May
I stop the cling and fall.
Into
His arms.
