Have to be Reminded

The woman, full of years, was passing by on the sidewalk.
Admiring my homemade nativity, she queried: "Have to be reminded, don't we?"
"We forget so easily.", she added.
And she continued on her walk.
There was no discussion. No in-depth conversation. 
A simple statement and move forward.
 
 Have to be reminded.

"Just make sure you stay alert. 
Keep close watch on yourselves.
Don't forget anything of what you've seen.
Don't let your heart wander off.
Stay vigilant as long as you live.
Teach what you've  seen and heard to your children and grandchildren." Deuteronomy 4:9 Message

Because we DO forget.
Forget who He is.
Forget how He came.
Forget why He came.
We have to surround ourselves with reminders.
Be vigilant in our efforts.
To keep our hearts from wandering.
So I gather milk jugs, broom, rake, sticks, yarn and fabric.
Ordinary items. To help me remember.
And teach.
A Savior is born!
