Move On

They had been in bondage in Egypt. Stuck. In a place overflowing with death and destruction.
Now they were stuck again. This time between an enemy and a sea. How were they to know that deliverance was at hand? It was obvious... to the Lord of All. He had a plan. A plan of overflowing land. Where there was enough. And more. A place of possibilities. And freedom. To trust and believe.
But they were stuck.
“Then the Lord said to Moses, 'Tell the Israelites to move on.' “Exodus 14:15
Move on. Go forward.
Verse 22 says, “And the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.”
Dry ground where deep mud belongs.
Walls of water on either side.
Walls, solid.
Of water. A substance to submerge my hand, my head into. Now solid.
Foreign. Different. Unexpected.
Move on.
Leave behind stuck.
Advance into flowing.
Flowing with enough. And more.
Flowing with hope.
Flowing with possibilities.
Flowing with Him.
Flowing. Not stuck.
“The people feared the Lord and put their trust in Him.” Exodus 14:31
Move on.
